Hey reader, almost a full month since my last entry. I'll fill you in. First of all, i've been doing good. My therapist is weening me off my antidepressant medication so that's good news i think. I read two H.G. Wells books - The Time Machine and The First Men In The Moon. The Time Machine honestly blew me away, especially for its time period. The first ever time travel story where a time machine is utilized and it's this good? The worldbuilding, the curiosity, the speculative evolution of the world, just so so exciting to read. Especially the last couple of pages where the main character goes millions of years in the future and god it's terrifying, pure dread and terror in realizing how humanity is insignificant and how the universe is brutal, unforgiving and how time goes on and on and on and on forever in perpetuity for eternity...fuck, incredibly chilling.
/////////////////////////////////////////////// ///////////////////////////////////////////////I did this animation inspired by the subterranian race of humanoids called Morlocks from The Time Machine. There's absolutely no media depicting the book how I imagined it and i find it so frustrating. Anyways, that's how I envisioned the morlocks.
/////////////////////////////////////////////// ///////////////////////////////////////////////I was reading the wikipedia entry on H.P. Lovecraft and christ no wonder the guy wrote such insane stuff. His father went through a psychotic episode and got thrown in an asylum. 16 years later, his mother had the same fate. The dude came from a family of mental cases. I also read that he only got discovered and became famous in the 1970s, some 30 years after he died. There was a picture of the Lovecraft family on wikipedia where little H.P. Lovecraft looks goofy as hell. Through that image i learned about Breeching which is a rite of passage of sorts where once boys reach the age of 4-7 they start wearing pants. Yeah, little boys used to wear dresses and gowns for the first few years of their childhood lol. The reasoning makes a lot of sense, potty training is easier when the child doesnt have to fight with the buckes and belt on their pants. Also it was cheaper and easier to make a dress larger as the child grows.
///////////////////////////////////////////////New Danny Brown!!! It's banging!!! I saw lots of hate for this album, how Danny sold out, how he's making white people music now, like god forbid a man is in love and off drugs and making music that's not about hanging with crackheads and fighting addiction. What a bunch of losers. Anyway the album is great, go listen.

A-Track did a dj mix of Danny Browns discography and on it i heard "Psychoboost" by Jane Remover featuring Danny Brown. I've heard of Jane Remover a long time ago and couldn't get into it but this song is so good, it made me give her another shot. I listened to her 2025 album "Revengeseekerz" and honestly it's great. I always thought of her as another one of those zoomer hypertrap artists with distorted 808s and Carti-inspired production. The rage-type beat crowd. And turns out she's more than that, there's this energy the rest of them lack, this love for music, not clout.
